About the Position:
The Office of Admissions is responsible for determining student eligibility for admission to the University, processes and evaluates applications and transcripts, determining residency status, and reviewing appeals for exception to University Policy. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as the Business Analyst (Administrative Analyst/Specialist - Non-Exempt). The Business Analyst assist the PeopleSoft/CMS Mod Lead with the development of new modules, writing specifications, running jobs and queries, and testing. Posts applications received from Online Admission Application and any applicable Transitory applications. Processes and troubleshoots problem applications submitted via the various application systems. Supports the processing of special program applications that include those received online and paper based, such as veterans, exchange students, athletes, and any other populations as dictated by an admissions MOU. Runs weekly reports and queries for admission processing for the Office of Admissions. Responsible for enrollment deposit queries, fee reconciliation and daily enrollment deposit rejections. Processes batch coding for admissions decisions including redirecting CSU eligible but denied SB1440 students to other campuses, withdrawals, initial review. Reviews, researches, and resolves complex admission data problems. Serves as a resource person for data entry, acronym creation, and number changes. Fully comprehends and interprets the admission portion of PeopleSoft and Cal State Apply, WebAdMIT, FileNet, OnBase and UAchieve. Conducts research and analysis on new CSU and CSUF policy changes that impact all of these systems.

Serves as the Program Lead for Cal State Apply and the WebAdMIT system. Program Lead and Developer for all supplemental applications hosted on the Cal State Apply application 4th Quadrant. Maintains (adds, removes, updates) and coordinates all University programs (Undergraduate, Graduate, International and Extension) for the CSU Fullerton Cal State Apply Application. Plans, organizes, trains and coordinates with the all CSUF Colleges regarding annual application changes. Coordinates and collaborates with the CSU Chancellor's Office for program changes and program deadline changes for all CSU Fullerton majors on the Cal State Apply Application. Works with the Cal State Apply vendor to document and report any issues with the Cal State Apply system. Fully responsible for all applicant issues related to the Cal State Apply application. Supports faculty and administrative staff with admission inquiries and student issues. Works with students, counselors and staff regarding admissions questions, updates and issues. Utilizes all admissions applications to refine business procedures, such as creating and modifying Admissions and Campus Community BPGs. Assist in resolving duplicate IDs identified in the system and cleaning up Admission data. Assists with ERS data cleanup for admission data. Assists in formatting HTML admission communication. In coordination with the Admissions Leadership Team, sends out admission communications. Responsible for adding and removing Admissions holds. Other duties as assigned.


Essential Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university and/or the equivalent training and administrative work experience involving the study, analysis, evaluation, development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices or programs. Working knowledge of the general practices, program or administrative specialty. Basic knowledge of and the ability to apply fundamental concepts. Working knowledge of budget policies and procedures. Ability to learn, interpret, and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures relating to and impacting the applicable program, organizational unit or administrative specialty. Knowledge of and the ability to apply basic methods and procedures used for research and statistical analysis. Ability to analyze data and make accurate projections using business mathematics and basic statistical techniques. Ability to make independent decisions, exercise sound judgment, handle multiple priorities, and organize and plan work assignments. Ability to compile, write, and present reports related to program or administrative specialty. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.


Preferred Qualifications:
Extensive experience working in an admission office and with admission applications. Experience working with the PeopleSoft student information system. Knowledge of developing queries.
