Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for an Academic Advisor 1 position for the College of Business. This position is responsible for providing academic advising to prospective, new, transfer, and continuing undergraduate business students in individual and group advising settings regarding schedule, choice of major, number of hours to be taken, etc. Other duties include, but are not limited to; participating in recruitment events and retention activities; being involved in the collection and evaluation of data for reporting; address and manage students' concerns and needs for the completion of their degree program; assist the coordinator with planning, preparation and participation in off campus student recruitment activities; audit, review and submit corrections to admissions and records to ensure accuracy; and participate in assigned special projects, training opportunities, etc. This position reports to the Director, Advising, Recruitment and Retention for College of Business.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and two (2) years of related work experience; OR a Master's degree and one (1) year of related experience required.

Related Professional Experience: In a field related to student support, human services, education, or related advising position.

Grants-in-aid for Faculty Employees
