Job Description
The UTK Campus Training Lead will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training programs for the newly implemented Oracle Cloud ERP system. The position will conduct needs analysis and develop a comprehensive training strategy that maximizes user engagement, fosters system adoption, and equips users with necessary knowledge and skills. Additionally, the Training Lead will manage the Train the Trainer (TTT) process and ensure that the training materials are accurate and aligned with organizational needs. The position will track and measure the effectiveness of training programs to continuously improve and adapt to Oracle updates and the evolving needs of the university.
Responsibilities
- Conduct a thorough analysis of training needs. Collaborate with fiscal officers, functional leads, process leads and subject matter experts (SME's) to identify training needs and requirements.
- Create a comprehensive training strategy and plan for the Oracle Cloud ERP system. Review and update it periodically.
- Design and develop engaging and interactive training materials, including instructor-led training materials, user guides, quick reference guides, and videos.
- Ensure the application of adult learning principles and instructional design best practices are in all training materials.
- Stay updated with the latest Oracle ERP features, updates, and best practices to incorporate into training programs.
- Deliver training sessions effectively, using a variety of teaching methods and adapting to different learning styles.
- Manage the Train the Trainer (TTT) process. Mentor the team of ERP trainers, ensuring high-quality training delivery.
- Monitor user adoption rates and feedback to continuously refine and improve training content and delivery methods.
- Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of training and documentation, such as user proficiency, training completion rates, and system usage improvements.
- Collect and analyze feedback from training participants and stakeholders.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments to improve learning outcomes.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree
- Experience: Two - Three years of experience working with facilitation, instruction, or teaching.
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Ability to design, develop, and deliver ERP training strategies/programs, with a focus on adult learning principles and instructional design.
- Ability to coordinate large-scale training initiatives.
- Knowledge of virtual training tools and platforms (e.g., Zoom, MS Teams, WebEx).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and mentor.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear, engaging manner.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management to align training with organizational goals.
- High level of customer service orientation and interpersonal skills
