Job Description
The Program Coordinator, Business Development supports recruitment, enrollment and marketing strategy and operations for UT's professional- and executive-level MBA programs. They play an integral role in building strong programs by guiding professional and executive students as they consider the program(s) of best fit and navigate the exploration and application processes that follow. This role requires the ability to build strong interpersonal connections with executive professionals and exercise sound judgment in supporting candidates through complex decision-making processes.
The main functions of this position include but are not limited to: understanding program strategy to provide accurate and ethical admissions advisement to high-potential candidates, building professional relationships that facilitate program growth, accurately tracking and reporting enrollment data, and providing day-to-day support to program leadership. This role will engage with multiple campus departments, including but not limited to OneStop, the Veteran Success Center, and the Center for Global Engagement to ensure reliable admissions guidance. Responsibilities include coordinating and attending recruitment-related events, some of which will require travel. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required.
Responsibilities
- OPERATIONS
- Work directly with the assistant director, business development to understand program strategy and be able to articulate the value proposition for each program across multiple channels.
- Plan and implement recruitment, marketing and program branding strategies to attract high-quality student applicants.
- Support recruitment goals by initiating timely, consistent outreach to leads, using channels including but not limited to video, phone, text, and email.
- Engage with prospective students through meaningful conversations designed to identify their educational needs and next steps, communicating important program differentiators and outcomes.
- Clearly articulate UT Graduate and Executive (UT GEE) program information. Provide accurate and ethical advisement that is consistent with UT GEE-defined policies and procedures.
- Analyze student situations and identify areas of concern and problems, working with appropriate departments or program leadership to resolve problems as necessary.
- Guide prospective students through the program inquiry, exploration, application, interview, and decision processes, providing accurate and dependable guidance at every stage.
- Contribute to implementation of strategies to build a talent network/talent community through alumni and corporate partners.
- Exercise professional judgment in supporting prospective students through complex decision-making processes.
- Support creation of marketing- and recruitment-related materials, including but not limited to informational documents and website, social media, and email content.
- Perform other duties as requested and warranted by the business and program leadership.
- DATA ANALYTICS
- Gather, analyze, and synthesize data to create accurate reports on a regular basis to monitor recruitment and enrollment effectiveness.
- Collect and maintain organized records of recruitment discussions to support program enrollment efforts.
- Gather, compare, and analyze lead source and other data to make recommendations for future operations and business development program efforts.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality regarding student information in accordance with federal FERPA standards.
- RECRUITMENT-RELATED ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS
- Support and attend on- and off-campus program activities including but not limited to info sessions, networking events, and virtual presentations.
- Contribute to event coordination and budgeting, exercising sound decision-making skills.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree
- Experience: Minimum three (3) years of progressively responsible business work experience required
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Demonstrated knowledge of applicable marketing, sales, and business development processes
- Demonstrated knowledge of the working professional, particularly as it relates to higher education needs
- Excellent oral and written communication; strong interpersonal skills; commitment to customer service; cultural sensitivity
- Ability to apply sound judgment in decision-making and problem-solving
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with multiple stakeholders, including but not limited to executives, faculty, staff, and other campus departments
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-directed; fast learner; adaptable; dependable
- Ability to provide work direction to alumni volunteers and peer/support staff
- Comfort with Word-processing, spreadsheet development, calendar management, video conferencing, and CRM tools

Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Master's degree
- Experience:
- Five (5)+ years of business/professional experience preferred
- Experience in recruitment or sales preferred
- Experience in marketing preferred
- Experience in a professional setting preferred
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Knowledge of Slate; Adobe Creative Cloud; social media platforms; Microsoft Office and/or Microsoft 365
